Regional Events That Are Accelerating Evangelism

We are passionate about helping believers in New England connect to accelerate evangelism and encourage one another. The following are a list of upcoming events throughout New England:

VISION NEW ENGLAND EVENTS:

New England Faith & Justice Summit on Reentry Support

October 5; 9:00am - 3:30pm

Immanuel Church, Chelmsford, MA

Whether you are just starting to learn, or are already engaged, the New England Faith & Justice Summit on Reentry Support is a space where faith-motivated women and men can connect, learn, explore possibilities and be refreshed and equipped for the work ahead.  You'll hear inspiring stories from ministry leaders and former inmates, learn about the critical role you and your church can have in reentry support, and dialogue about top-priority issues that will accelerate reentry support ministry in New England.

We are connecting ministry and marketplace leaders across race, gender, age, denomination, tradition and networks to create a "network of networks" that foster sharing, learning and collaboration.

 

Executive Pastors Forum

November 6; 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Lifesong Church, Sutton, MA

Presentations on priority topics lead into discussions that draw from each other's experience and insight.  Executive Pastors from throughout New England meet twice per year to learn from, encourage and build connections with each other that will be mutually beneficial throughout the year. Lunch will be provided.

New England Foster and Adoptive Ministries (NEFAM) Connect

January 25, 2020; 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Strega Prime, Woburn MA

There is a growing movement of leaders working together to mobilize foster and adoptive care ministry in the churches of New England. At our last forum, many expressed a desire for more networking time, so we're shifting the venue to a restaurant and creating more space for connecting. We'll continue to discuss movement-shaping issues, and hear stories of what God is doing around the region. 

THRIVE Cape Cod

March 13-14, 2020

Cape Cod Church, East Falmouth, MA

This fourth annual THRIVE is a result of a partnership between Vision New England and Cape Cod pastors, and brings together the Church on Cape Cod to focus on local Cape issues, with local Cape solutions and ministry responses.

Large Church Pastors Forum

March 15-17, 2020

Warren Conference Center, Ashland, MA

This two and a half day session for senior and lead pastors focuses on prayer, peer learning, networking, sharing and collaborating to accelerate evangelism in larger churches.

Faith and Justice Summit on Human Trafficking

March 14, 2020, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Pastoral Center, Bloomfield, CT

Human trafficking is one of the greatest injustices of our time, and it's happening right here in New England.  Hear inspiring stories of how God is working to address it, learn about and interact with local organizations, and see how you and your church can get involved!

Faith and Justice Summit

March 21, 2020, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Walnut Hill Community Church, Bethel, CT

This day long event will feature speakers and panelists discussing the Church's role in addressing a variety of issues that prevent people from experiencing the fullness of life God intends for them.

This event brings ministry and marketplace leaders together with a heavy focus on networking, sharing the stories of what God is doing around New England, peer learning, prayer and collaborating to solve the biggest challenges in New England that can only be solved by following God's lead together.

Human Trafficking Awareness Event

January 7, 2020

Somers High School Auditorium, Somers, CT

The Underground shares important information about human trafficking and how it affects our local community. Being aware is the first step in the fight against human trafficking.

I Still Believe Pre-screening Event

January 8, 2020

Hope Fellowship Church, Jaffrey, NH

Hope Fellowship Church and Hillfest Events is hosting a pre-screening of the upcoming film, "I Still Believe," based on the true story of Christian music artist, Jeremy Camp. This event is for pastors, youth leaders, and other faith leaders across New England.

Recovery Coach Academy

January 17 - 25
Light of the World Christian Church, Milford, NH

This is a 4-day intensive academy will provide attendees with the skills to guide, mentor and support people seeking or sustaining recovery from addiction to alcohol or other drugs. Prepares participants to actively listen and discover and manage their own beliefs, values, biases, and judgments.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

January 18-25

Various Events in Boston, MA

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an international initiative where Christians worldwide are reminded of Jesus’ prayer for his disciples that “they may be one so that the world may believe” (John 17:21).

Locally, UniteBoston coordinates evening collaborative gatherings of fellowship, prayer and worship from January 18-25 annually.

Human Trafficking Awareness Event

Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT

Campus Ministry and The Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality present "Human Trafficking" - a presentation about this issue with emphasis on the Super Bowl (the largest human trafficking incident in the US). Join us in the Dogwood Room and also learn details about how YOU can help!

Caring Clergy Training in Concord

January 28, 2020

United Baptist Church, Concord NH

The Training will include a presentation of Substance Use and Addiction, sharing from parents whose children have struggled with Substance Use Disorder, discussion of what makes this kind of funeral just like any other and what makes it unique, and resources so you will know how to refer someone or their family as they confront addiction. This training may be able to be used for continuing education credits.

The Winter Walk is a campaign raising awareness and funds to help end homelessness in Boston. It centers on an annual walk, 2 miles around the streets of the city in February, the coldest month of the year. Our fourth annual event will be held on February 9, 2020 on Copley Square Plaza.
