PRAYER REQUESTS

Prayers for Evangelism in New England

Pray for the Vision ONE process. We are now at various levels of participation with 65 churches from all over the New England region.

Pray for:

• Continued multiplication and mobilization of this ministry
• Selection and training of Team Leaders, who will serve in coaching local churches through the Vision ONE process

Pray for the new Vision ONE Pastors’ Training Series, as pastors and church leaders move deeper into the Vision ONE process to cultivate a culture of evangelism in their churches.

Pray with thanksgiving for:

• The Spirit-led training sessions that were held February through May
• The answered prayers for the training sessions made evident through clear, focused dialog and pastors’ interactions and reactions

Pray for:

• God to make His presence known at the Fall sessions and bring about changed lives
• Clear communication among the pastors and Vision ONE Mentors at their individual sessions and meetings

Pray for the Intensives Workshops focused on Evangelism and Discipleship
Workshops will be held in all six states of New England beginning in January 2010. One hundred ninety (190) pastors and church leaders have already attended a workshop.

Pray for:

• Finalizing planning for workshops in the Fall of 2010
• Planning for upcoming workshops: that God would open doors for workshop sites in the region & direct our marketing/communications strategies for reaching pastors & church leaders
• Upcoming workshops: that they would be a catalyst for evangelism and have a long-term impact on this New England region
• Pastors and church leaders that attended a workshop: that God would prompt them in next steps towards creating a culture of evangelism in their churches
• Keith Tolley and Tom Johnston: in their preparatory work and presentations at upcoming workshops

Pray for Vision New England Finances

Pray for:

• God to grant us favor with donors so that the ministry is fully funded
• God to raise up new contacts and new ministry friends to invest in this Kingdom-building work
• God to pour out His blessings, provide for this ministry, and overcome effects of the current economic trends

Pray for Opportunities to Witness for Jesus Christ Throughout New England

Pray for:

• Our Prison Ministries Team: Al LaMorey, Ileana Valentine, Denis Frediani, Peter Dewberry, and Matt Kantrowitz as they serve inmates in correctional facilities throughout New England
• Alpha New England: their ongoing impact in this region
• The Strategic Leadership Network Conferences and the ministry of Jack Richardson
• Steve Poole, as he initiates strategic ministry activities in Spiritual Formations.

Prayers for Pastors and Church Leaders

Pray for church plants in New England and their connection with Vision New England

Pray for:

• Vision New England, as we serve church plants and church planters in areas of assessment, training, and coaching

Pray for our Pastoral Mentor Team and those being served

Pray for:

• Grace and guidance for Steve Poole and our pastoral mentoring team, as they serve pastors and work to integrate mentoring into the emerging Vision ONE process
• Additional gifted mentors to be identified and recruited to serve

Pray for 60/12 Prayer Initiative

Pray for:

• At least 60 church leaders to make a commitment to this regional gathering over the course of one year
• Details of establishing meeting locations, dates, & times for maximum participation by church leaders
• Jonathan Friz, as he coordinates, this special initiative
